Bio:

Dean Cain was born Dean George Tanaka in Mt. Clemens, MI. Cain took up acting as a child, appearing in bit parts in the films "Elmer" (1976) and "Charlie & The Talking Buzzard" (1979). Cain’s first speaking role was in his step-father's film "The Stone Boy" (1984). Once an adult, he first tried his hand at screenwriting before landing jobs as an actor in commercials and bit parts in television, such as in "Things That Go Bump in the Night" (1989). Cain managed to draw attention as Rick in "Beverly Hills, 90210" (1990-2000), but after a handful of bit parts he landed his break-through role as Superman/Clark Kent in the series Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman (1993). He developed, produced and hosted "Ripley's Believe It or Not!," had a regular role on "The Division" (2001-04), and raised his profile playing in the Denzel Washington thriller "Out of Time" (2003). He then played in the high-profile role of Scott Peterson in the 2004 television movie "The Perfect Husband: The Laci Peterson Story.” Since then he has appeared as a regular on "Hope & Faith" (2003-06), had a lead role in "10.5: Apocalypse" (2006), and starred in TV romances such as "A Christmas Wedding" (2006). He co-starred in the movie "God's Not Dead" (2014) and had recurring roles in "Supergirl" (2015).

Madison Takes

We included Dean Cain as a Madison Media Fund curator because of his association with conservative viewpoints and involvement with films that resonate with those viewpoints. Cain has been openly vocal about his conservative political beliefs, frequently expressing his views on social media, in public appearances, and on conservative news outlets and platforms. He has increasingly taken roles in films that align with conservative, faith-based, and patriotic values, such as his appearances in several of the “God’s Not Dead” films. Cain has also worked with production companies that produce faith based films, such as his work with JC films, and has stated that he enjoys this kind of work.
