Larry Elder is an American conservative political commentator, radio host, author, and attorney, born in 1952 in Los Angeles, California. He practiced law in Cleveland, Ohio and became a prominent talk radio host with "The Larry Elder Show," which gained national syndication. He has worked in television, including hosting "Moral Court," has entered into political campaigns, most notably in the California recall election of 2021, and was a 2024 presidential candidate. Known for his conservative and libertarian views, he focuses on issues of personal responsibility, limited government, and economic freedom. He is also the author of several books.

We included Larry Elder as a Madison Media Fund curator because of his direct involvement in creating and promoting films that lean conservative, most notably the documentary “Uncle Tom.” Elder is a well-known conservative commentator and media personality, where he promotes and discusses films that align with conservative views. He was the writer and executive producer of the documentary “Uncle Tom,” a film that promotes conservative perspectives, particularly within the Black community.
