Madison Takes

We included Matthew McConaughey as a Madison Media Fund curator because of various aspects of his public persona and views. He has openly stated that he is a believer in God and says he finds value in attending church; he has also spoken about the importance of traditional values, personal responsibility, and family. McConaughey has a strong Texas identity, and is often-portrayed as having a “rugged individualist” persona. He currently aligns himself with the republican party, although he generally avoids strict partisan labels, and has been vocal about gun rights, expressing his belief in responsible gun ownership.
